Taal's Friend – Loyalty Program Terms

The program and who operates it

Taal's Friend is the digital loyalty program of Taal Coffee & More, operated by Everybody Taal B.V., registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 96939060, with its registered office at J.J. Cremerplein 34, 1054 TL Amsterdam, the Netherlands ("Taal", "we", "us"). You can reach us at taal.coffee@gmail.com or in any of our locations.

By joining the program you agree to these terms. The program is provided through a digital loyalty card that you add to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The card platform is provided by our service provider Tap2 B.V.; your use of Apple Wallet or Google Wallet is additionally subject to Apple's or Google's own terms for those services.

Joining

Participation is free. To join, you enter your email address on our signup page and add the digital card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. You must be at least 16 years old to participate. One card per person; the card is personal and may not be sold or transferred.

Earning stamps

You receive one digital stamp for each qualifying purchase of a coffee or other hot beverage at a participating Taal location, registered at the till at the moment of purchase. Stamps cannot be added afterwards for past purchases.

Stamps have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Your reward

After collecting six stamps, your seventh coffee is on us. The reward entitles you to one free coffee or hot beverage of equivalent or lower value than your average stamped purchase, redeemable at any participating Taal location by presenting your digital card at the till.

Reward rules:

  • Cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Cannot be combined with other promotions unless stated otherwise
  • Cannot be transferred to someone else

Notifications

Your digital card may show service notifications (for example, when you earn a stamp or a reward). If you have given consent at signup, we may also send promotional notifications and emails.

Your device may additionally display the card on your lock screen when you are near a Taal location; this is a built-in feature of Apple Wallet and Google Wallet that works entirely on your device — we do not receive your location.

You can turn off notifications at any time without losing your stamps:

  1. Apple Wallet: open the card, tap the "…" button, and switch off "Allow Notifications"
  2. Google Wallet: open the card, tap the menu, and disable notifications for this pass

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails via the link in each email or by contacting us. Removing the card from your wallet ends your participation and stops all notifications.

Validity and inactivity

Active participation

Stamps and rewards remain valid for as long as you actively participate.

24 months inactivity

If your card is not used for 24 consecutive months, we may deactivate it; any unredeemed stamps and rewards then lapse, and your data is deleted or anonymized in accordance with our privacy notice.

Fair use

The program is intended for genuine personal use. We may decline stamps or rewards, or deactivate a card, in cases of fraud, abuse, or manipulation of the program (for example, duplicate cards or stamps obtained without a qualifying purchase).

Where reasonably possible, we will contact you before taking any action against your card.

Changes and ending the program

We may amend these terms or the program (including the stamp threshold or reward) for legitimate reasons, such as operational, economic, or legal reasons. Material changes will be announced with reasonable advance notice via the card, our website, or email.

We may discontinue the program with at least 30 days' notice; you will be given the opportunity to redeem earned rewards during the notice period. Already-earned rewards remain valid for that period.

Liability

The program is provided free of charge. To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with the program is limited to the value of unredeemed rewards on your card.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Dutch law, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

How we handle your personal data is described in the Taal's Friend Privacy Notice, available at taal.coffee/privacy and via your digital card. Please read it — it explains what we collect (essentially just your email address and your stamps), why, and your rights.

Applicable law and complaints

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at taal.coffee@gmail.com — we will do our best to resolve it.

Disputes that cannot be resolved may be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections regarding jurisdiction.
